Of course, we do, at Miriam Memoirs we share genuine information about destinations to help others make the best decisions when travelling.
We are always on the look for new travel content, female solo experience, travel group experiences, photography experiences, cultural exchanges, crazy adventures, you name it.
We are lucky to experience the world so we can inspire others to do the same!
In 2013 when I first moved to the UK I started a travel journal – I still have it. Here I add snippets of my trips, tips, must see and so on. I got advised to share it so people that would take advantage of my good and bad experiences. As my journal is a hard copy the idea of transferring everything to a blog came out and here I am!
All my posts/tips are genuine and shared with love to help you traveling safely, smoothly and more!
Although it was my idea for a long time, I currently don’t travel full-time. After backpacking for 1-year through Asia and Australia, I realised how important it is to have a base. My base in between London and Cascais where I grew up. I travel as much as I can, when I can. I also combine work, either the blog or my 9-5, with travel. As a travel account manager and content creator I feel like I am travelling all the time anyways. Sometimes it is great to relax at home.
I haven’t organised any, but I am very keen in starting to do it so. One of the perks of working in the travel industry are the contacts and the people you meet. So, I am confident that I could get a great weekend away planned. If this is of interest, please reach out below and I get something on the diary.
This is an interesting question, and I really like to tell this story. Miriam Memoirs come from my first ever English book, that happens to be my favourite, called “Memoirs of Geisha” back in 2018 when I decided to share mainly my adventures around the world, I decided to share my memoirs -> Miriam Memoirs. See the connection?
Yes and no. How is this possible? I started my travelling solo, my first ever trip was to the UK back in 2013, then I moved to London also in 2013. I did a bunch of European counties solo: England, Ireland, Spain, Check Republic and then I met my boyfriend – Patrick. We started solidly travelling to Asia, Australia, Europe and Africa.
Most recently, it has been a mixture, I travel with work, with Patrick and solo. In this blog you can find the three types of experiences!
I travel a lot with work. I currently work for a travel operator in the UK, and I am expected to travel overseas to meet clients and engage with new ones. I travel with work about 5 times a year and the destinations vary. A normal year I am likely to get paid to travel to China, Brazil, Singapore, Spain, Germany, France, America and India. Normally relates to the clients I cover.
I also get to work with that invite us to experience their countries.
Aww this so hard! Can I say everywhere?
I will give you my top 10 countries that I would like to visit in the next 2 years: Brazil, Switzerland, Iceland, Canada, Belize, South Africa, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Japan, Mozambique. Disclaimer the list is definitely not complete!
